Move-in Checklist

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

Your first month's rent and security deposit both need to be paid to sign the lease. If you have any questions, please confirm the amounts with a member of our property management team.

Move-in Date & Inspection

We will schedule your move-in date & provide all information about the initial inspection at the lease signing.

Utilities

You must place utility accounts in your name immediately after signing the lease. You are also responsible for keeping accounts current throughout the duration of your stay.

Move-out Checklist

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Planning to move out of your rental home? You'll need to provide us written notice of your intent to vacate the premises. Please refer to your lease to determine your legal move-out date.

Property Condition

You'll need to bring your rental back to rent-ready condition before moving out. Please take care of the following priorities:

Rental Cleaning: Every room in your rental home must be thoroughly cleaned, with all of your personal belongings and any refuse removed from the property.

Please pay extra attention to your cleaning efforts in the kitchen and bathroom(s). You'll need to sanitize all hard surfaces, including appliances, and wipe down countertops.

Floors throughout the rental should also be vacuumed/swept and mopped.

Landscaping & Outdoor Areas: If you routinely address outdoor landscaping responsibilities for your rental home, please take care of these once more before moving out.

Repairs: If any damage has occurred within your rental home during your stay, please make every effort to address these repairs. This includes patching nail and screw holes, replacing burnt lightbulbs and any broken glass, and repainting any stained or discolored walls.

Security Deposit

We'll perform a final inspection of your home after you move out; if we identify any damage, we'll schedule repairs and deduct the expenses for these repairs from your deposit. The remainder will be returned to you with an itemized statement.

Please remember, the deposit isn't available for paying your final month's rent. Failure to pay your rent will result in late payment fees and adverse credit reporting.
